Boulders Golf Club & Resort is a Resort 36 hole golf facility located in Carefree, Arizona. The facility has two 18-hole championship courses. They are The Boulders North Course and The Boulders South Course.
The club has a private golf membership, but it also allows for public play. These courses are continually alternated, allowing one to be kept private while the other is used by hotel guests and the public.
Both Courses were designed by Jay Morrish. The North Course opened in 1985. The South Course opened in 1993.%u200B
These desert courses are well maintained, and the scenery is breathtaking. The natural desert terrain has been left in place on the sides of the fairways, and in many cases, in the middle of the fairways as well, so accurate shots are required. Both courses provide challenges and enjoyment for all skill levels of golfer.
The Boulders North Course
Par for the course is 72. From the back tees, the course plays to 6731 yards. From the forward tees, the course measures 4893 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 3, a par-5 that plays to 548 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 6, a par-3 that plays to 142 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 3, a 548-yard par-5 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole is # 14, a 175 yard par-3.

Bring extra balls - off the fairway is pretty much sand, cactus and snakes.

We received a discount for EWGA (Executive Womens Golf Association) membership and twilight rates. Regular rate was $275. I would not pay that to play this course, but likely would not pay that to play other courses either. Good value for what we paid.
